We'll use a private facebook group for most of our communication during the week with parents and caregivers who are registered for Southern Play. Once you've registered, you can apply to join the private group - you should be able to find it on facebook under 'Southern Play Parents' Group 2023'.

Southern Christian Church runs Southern Play because we want to get to know young families who aren't already connected with a community of Christians. We would love to welcome you into our playgroup community, and if you're interested, give you opportunities to explore what Christians believe about Jesus. Most weeks some of the mums spend a bit of time reading the Bible, and everyone is welcome to join if they would like to. Each term, we have space to accept registrations for up to 20 children (babies who aren't yet crawling don't count towards these numbers). Because our numbers are limited, we ask you to only register if you're not connected in with another church community.

Because we are limited to 20 children, we are asking families to register on a per term basis, so that as many families as possible are able to come along. Registration will cost $50 per family for term 3, to cover some of the costs of hiring the venue. You'll be able to pay this by cash or card during the first two weeks of term. If you'd love to register, but the registration fee is a barrier for you, just let us know below, because we'd still love to welcome you along.

If you are just bringing along a baby who is not yet crawling, registration is free! We encourage caregivers and bubs to come along, as playgroup is a great chance to enjoy some connection with other families!
